Pirate Coin
Yesterday Joshua found a plastic pirate coin in the pocket of his pants. He recognized it as one of the coins that his teacher from preschool last year, Miss Michelle, was handing out for St. Patrick's Day. He then told me a cute little story about how he and his friend Nathan found this particular coin under a tree in the sand and how it was so exciting to find treasure and how they went to race on their tricycles around the race track afterward. I actually remember that coin and when he and Nathan found it...just another happy memory of his preschool at UCSD that is making me teary eyed. Teary eyed because I really miss those happy times at ICNS; teary eyed because ICNS is closing at the end of next week due to UCSD consolidating their childcare elsewhere. Daniel enjoys the preschool we found for him here, but just the other day he told me he wished he could go to "Joshua's preschool." I wish you could too, Daniel.

What a sweet post and what great times Nathan and Joshua had together at ICNS. Nathan became a little emotional on Tuesday when we talked about ICNS closing. He worried about the teachers.
